About the Queen Elizabeth
Since opening its doors in 1958, the largest hotel in the city has had a special place in the hearts of Montrealers and visitors from around the world. Over the last few decades, the hotel has seen many prestigious guests including kings, queens, foreign dignitaries, heads of state, famous musicians, Olympic athletes and movie stars. In 1969, John Lennon and Yoko Ono held their famous Bed-In for Peace at the Queen Elizabeth, where they composed and recorded Give Peace a Chance.
In 2017, the Queen Elizabeth hotel underwent a complete transformation. The hotel now offers 950 completely rennovated rooms and suites, state-of-the-art meeting spaces, 3 restaurants and cafés, an artisanal market and a spa. Learn more here.
